It's my favorite time of the year once again!

No, I ain't talking about Thanksgiving... I'm talking about Black Friday sales!

For those who don't know, Black Friday is the Friday following Thanksgiving Day in the US, often regarded as the kickstart of the Christmas shopping season. Most major retailers open early and offer promotional sales on that day. Nowadays, most online Black Friday sales are extended through the whole weekend, ending with Cyber Monday.

If you've been eyeing on a particular US natural hair product, this is the weekend to go in!

But remember, not all companies ship internationally (I'm looking at you Eden Body Works!). In addition, if you live overseas, the shipping AND import taxes (VTA once the goods get to your country) can turn your "deals" into financial nightmares.

Quick tips:

  • If you don't want to lose too much money, don't choose more than three companies to buy from. Because: taxes. The alternative is to buy from a retailer like Hattaché for example (25% off this Friday with the code: 2014THANKS).
  • Since most of the products are difficult/impossible to find on the ground here, go for products that last long. I personally go for deep conditioners because they are essential to my routine and I don't need to use them on a daily basis.

NOW, onto the lists!

Have fun shopping! ;)
