Samourai Shampoo

First product review! Yeah!!!!

Finding products that work for you is a complicated task. You might find the perfect combination right away (lucky you!), but for most of us, it's all gonna be about trial and error. So that's the reason why I'd really advise you to check different reviews before purchasing any product. And always remember, it's not because it worked for your neighbour that it's gonna work for you! Now, let's get on with it!

Scent: Fairly nice

Review: I bought this shampoo just before my big chop in July 2012 and have been using it constantly since! Despite the sulfates, this product doesn’t strip my hair at all. I only lather once and my hair always feels clean and soft afterwards. On top of that, I found this shampoo in a supermarket, it doesn’t contains parabens or silicones and it’s really cheap! So I was definitely routing for this product until recently when I ran out of it… I went to every supermarket I know and couldn’t find it anymore! My guess is, it’s no longer available in the country and I’m really pissed about it (yes, I think Garnier and/or swiss distributors are jerks to Swiss people for this).

Will I buy it again? Yes, definitely ! I stock up whenever I go to France.

Rating: 4.5/5. (I would have definitely given it a 5 if it was an all-natural product)

Ingredients: Aqua/water, cetearyl alcohol, elaeis guineensis oil/palm oil, behentrimonium chloride, Cl15985/yellow 6, Cl19140/yellow 5, stearamidopropyl dimethylamine, chlorhexidine dihydrochloride, persea gratissima oil/avocado oil, citric acid, butyrospermum parkii butter/shea butter, hexyl cinnamal, glycerin, parfum/fragrance (F.I.L. C39789/1).

Scent: Identical to the shampoo. Fairly nice.

Consistency: Creamy when it comes out of the bottle, but runny once in the hair.

Review: After trying the shampoo, I had super high hopes about this conditioner ! I was sooooo ready to love it, but maybe my hopes were too high… First, you have to know that I like my conditioners to be creamy, moisturizing and on the thick side when it comes to the texture. When I tried this product, it felt way too light for my taste and it showed when I rinsed it out. My hair was desperately dry to the touch, even drier than after I rinsed out the shampoo ! O__o
Nonetheless, I gave this conditioner 3 chances to impress me but it unfortunately didn’t. As you can imagine, I was surprised and really disappointed (you let me down Garnier!!!). But I have to say this product isn't a complete failure since it actually did help with detangling my hair. So it’s basically a big no no for me but I heard of other ladies who love it. Go figure…

Will I buy it again? Nope.

Rating: 2/5.
